Amla oil was in a way created by nature in honour of women and the one thing dearest to them – hair. Well taken care of, conditioned and glossy locks are an attribute of femininity. It is worth to try this Indian oil known and used for ages. To intensify its action, it is best to mix it with other natural products – herbs, vegetable juices, or other oils. How to do that? Below are two great and easy ways to perform treatments with a green amla.

1. Lotion with aloe and amla oil

Rinses are already a thing of the past, and in the meantime are a very good and convenient way to efficiently regenerate hair. We use them at the end, as the last step in the hair care, or immediately after hair wash.

Ingredients:

  • 250 ml/8.5 oz of aloe juice (no pulp or sugar),
  • 250 ml/8.5 oz of boiled or demineralised water,
  • 1 table spoon of amla oil.

Mix all ingredients in a pot or a jar. If you have dry and damaged hair, then you should consider adding more water than aloe juice (125 ml/4.2 oz of aloe and about 400/13.5 oz of water). Pour the lotion in a gentle and slow manner on hair, trying to cover all locks with the product. It is worth to perform brief massage of scalp.
The lotion will provide your hair with gloss and hydration as well as it will prevent frizz.

2. Hair mist with flaxseed and amla oil

Hair mist is the simplest cosmetic to prepare at home. It is done quickly and is easy in application – just pour it into empty bottle with atomiser.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tea spoon of flaxseed,
  • 1 tea spoon of amla oil,
  • 100 ml/3.4 oz of water,
  • 2 tea spoons of any hair conditioner (optional).

Instead of hair conditioner, you can easily use natural oil or butter, e.g. shea butter.

Flaxseed should cook about 10 minutes on low heat in 100 ml/3.4 oz of water. Then you must strain it and let it cool. Cool brew pour into bottle and complement it with other ingredients (oil and conditioner).

Use mist after hair wash, when hair are still damp, or on dry hair during the day, or before hair stylisation. Hair mist is very light, so you do not need to worry about excess weighting hair down. There is no need for rinse of the product.
